📋 Hospitality declaration

This is a document you file when you host a foreign person for free in your home (for example a friend, a relative, someone you are helping). There is no rent payment.

You must go to the Police (Police Station or Police Headquarters (Questura)) within 48 hours of when the person arrives at your home. They will give you a form to fill out and then stamp the document.

🏠 Property transfer declaration

This is a document you file when you rent a house or room to someone for payment. The person pays you rent to live in your property.

You must submit it to the local Police (Municipal Police) or Police Station within 48 hours of when the person starts living there. It is required by law for both Italians and foreigners.

🏡 Residence declaration

This is the form to request registration in the civil registry of the Municipality where you live.

💰 Postal payment slip for electronic permit

To pay for the electronic residence permit you must fill out a postal payment slip.
